Thoughts: Paparazzi (an objective look)

Ok! so I have been absent from my blog for a few weeks now but I have a second wind and well here we go!

Paparazzi: evil doers, or misunderstood photographers.

Now I'd like to preface this with the fact that I don't like paparazzi style images nor do I advocate for them or would I ever take part in that type of photography.  Having said that, lets look at the subject in a more objective light.  What is a paparazzi? Some would say modern day hit men, others wouldn't be so kind, but are these photographers really the evil ones? Or is the mass media and pop culture to blame? Think about it, in the past 10 years reality TV has sky rocketed, ( its a shame really, and that is a whole other rant!) getting back on track, who's fault is it? I say they should both share the blame here. I see it like this, if a mercenary kills a mark for pay they are just as guilty of the crime as the one who is paying.  Lets face it if there wasn't a market for it and the general public didn't buy into it and find entertainment in it then guess what, it wouldn't happen.  The masses dictate what is "hip" "cool" "in" and vice versa.  Do I agree with doing whatever necessary to make a buck? Not completely, there should be a line, but I definitely don't place all the blame on those that do, they are simply taking advantage of a marketable medium. Is it wrong or right? Well thats for your own moral compass to decide.

We are all part of the problem on some level.
