This is my blog

So its time I jump on the Blogging band wagon! It's been long over due and to be honest I put it off for a reason. This digital age of ours is a bit scary to say the least but never the less at some point we must embrace change, now I am in no way saying that I am completely new to the internet or social media but I have my reservations about them, not only are they impersonal but they are inherently and increasingly not private, scary.  Now before I come off as a social media basher I would like to say that I believe the inter web and social media is a great tool, when used in moderation.  So why did I decide to make a blog? The honest reason is the same one we all gave our parents when asked why we wanted that new toy or wanted to do this new thing, because everyone else is doing it! I would be lying if i said my peers had nothing to do with it but thats not the full story either. I turned to blogging for a few reasons; Number one: I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER!  Yes I am a photographer and have been for a good while and I am just now making a blog (my fellow photogs and art siblings are crying outrage as we speak). Number two: I HAVE MANY THINGS TO SAY AND FEW SOAP BOXES TO STAND ON. Thats right one of the top reasons most people get a blog, to whine, moan, and state your opinion about all the things that piss us off and to praise, promote and give love to all the things that make us go tick (by no means will I be whining, or moaning that is a metaphor).   Number three: I LOVE TO WRITE, ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY. Blogging is one of the greatest inventions that a writer could ask for! It gives us an audience that wants to hear what we have to say (well read), it saves trees, It saves us money on supplies, and probably best of all there is the potential to make money much easier than the traditional pen (or pencil or quill and ink or blood ) and paper method!  So there you have it my top three reasons for making a blog they are not my only reasons but hands down the top. Well here I am and here I go this is just one of hopefully many adventures I embark on in the near and far future!
